Country Song

I remember you when I sit under maple trees for long

I smile when I hear our country song

We used to write our music among these bushes

And we missed those promises made within hushes

Still are those words in this breeze,

Linger around my lips like our first kiss

I don’t know what changed us so much

I thought we’ll make it till the end but maybe it was our hunch

But blame isn’t on you though

‘Cause you’re mourning the same poem, I know

I know that you love me the same

I know that you miss me when you’re drown in the fame

But this time has changed all the tunes

It’s easier to grasp on a memory that fumes

Rather than wait along those grey highways

And ask in the gust whether you’re on your way

My heart beat faster when I memorize your eyes

I hope you sing these words and come back where your heart lies

‘Cause I still remember you when I sit under maple trees for long

And I still smile when I hear our country song
